RITUAL:

An Essential Grimoire

By Damien Echols and Lorri Davis

Publisher ‏ : ‎ Sounds True (April 26, 2022)

Hardcover ‏ : ‎ 256 pages

List Price: $26.99

FROM THE PUBLISHER:

Damien Echols and Lorri Davis share a beginner-friendly treasury of their most valuable practices for weaving magick into your everyday life.

The promise of magick is both simple and extraordinary: it is that magick can support you in any aspect of life, from helping you succeed in everyday tasks to enabling you to achieve your most cherished dreams. What’s more, you don’t even have to believe in magick to make it work. The only thing that’s required is regular practice―and the easiest way to practice is to make magickal rituals part of your daily life.

With Ritual: An Essential Grimoire, magicians Damien Echols and Lorri Davis share a broad selection of their most effective rituals, meditations, and prayers―presented in terms accessible to all. “You won’t find a lot of arcane terminology or lengthy ceremonies here,” says Damien. “What you will find are simple practices to develop your own connection to the energy and intelligence of the universe.” Here you’ll discover:

• Essential breath and concentration techniques for working with subtle energy

• Grounding practices to cleanse your body and environment from stagnant energies or thoughts

• Everyday meditations for improving sleep and dreams, blessing food, inviting abundance, and more

• On-the-spot practices that include invoking protection, relieving pain and anxiety, and seeing goodness in difficult situations

• Methods to amplify and reinforce your ritual work with talismans, celestial forces, and angel magick

• How ritual work can advance your spiritual evolution and openness to divine guidance

• Moving stories from Damien and Lorri about how magick changed their lives―and how it can change yours

Damien and Lorri learned magick to help them get through the most trying times―to help free Damien from his wrongful incarceration, then to help both of them heal from the traumatic aftereffects of his imprisonment. “Many of these rituals are the very same we used to rebuild our lives,” Lorri says. “We share these practices in the hopes that you will use them to survive, thrive, and create the life you desire.”

About the Authors:

Damien Echols is a bestselling author, visual artist, and practitioner of magick ordained in the Rinzai Zen tradition. His story of release from a wrongful death row sentence is the subject of several documentaries. He has published six books, including two with his wife, Lorri Davis. Damien teaches classes on magick around the country. He and Lorri live in New Orleans.

LORRI DAVIS is a film producer and former landscape architect. The story of her courtship-by-mail with Damien Echols during his unjust imprisonment in the West Memphis Three case is profiled in the 2019 book Savage Appetites, and is the topic of their co-authored book, Yours for Eternity. Lorri, Damien, and their cats live in Harlem.

A BOOK OF PAGAN FAMILY PRAYER & RITUALS

By Ceisiwr Serith

Publisher ‏ : ‎ Weiser Books (June 1, 2022)

Paperback ‏ : ‎ 272 pages

List Price : $19.95

FROM THE PUBLISHER:

Review

"A Book of Pagan Family Prayers and Rituals by Ceisiwr Serith is an amazing reference for all those interested in building a strong family practice. Serith takes the reader on a journey of interpreting and walking the family pagan path, giving pointers for adapting rituals for modern times, as well as providing many insights into areas of pagan practice in bitesize pieces. I especially appreciated that the author made a point of showing how these rituals could be adapted to any gender, cultural background, and style of pagan practice. So many parents are looking for a good book on the path of pagan parenting. If any of these parents were to ask me, from now on I’ll be recommending A Book of Pagan Family Prayers and Rituals.” -- Temperance Alden, author of The Year of the Witch

About the Author:

Ceisiwr Serith (David Fickett-Wilbar) is a writer and teacher in the Pagan community. His interest in prayers and rituals grew naturally as a result of working in the Wiccan and Druidic traditions, as well as writing books such as A Book of Pagan Prayer and Deep Ancestors: Practicing the Religion of the Proto-Indo-Europeans. He is a member of Ár nDraíocht Féin, a Druid fellowship, and is priest and liturgist for Nemos Ognios grove in Durham, NH. He has been published in the Journal of Indo-European Studies and Proceedings of the Harvard Celtic Colloquium.

DREAM DIVINATION PLANTS:

In Northwestern European Traditions

By Corinne Boyer

Publisher ‏ : ‎ Three Hands Press (April 19, 2022)

Paperback ‏ : ‎ 80 pages

List Price: $17.50

FROM THE PUBLISHER:

Shamanism, religion and magic have long acknowledged the significance of dreams as a bridge to the spirit world, and over time developed practices for dream incubation. Many such practices involved plants, and were operant at the folk level, seeking to incept dreams of a prophetic nature, to obtain knowledge of future loves, fortunes, births and deaths. In Dream Divination Plants in Northwestern European Traditions, Corinne Boyer draws together many strands of plant dream-lore, focusing on dream-divination. Bringing old lore to life with modern insight and a practical approach, she examines the many ways of using flowers, fruits, branches and leaves to make contact with the oneiric realm. With original illustrations by Peter Köhler.

About the Author:

Corinne Boyer is an herbalist, teacher, and writer with a passion for traditions surrounding plants and folk magic. She has been studying and working with plants since 1998. She is also the author of "The Witch's Cabinet", published by Three Hands Press in Spring 2021. She lives with her family in the forests of the Pacific Northwest.

BECOMING A GARMENT OF ISIS:

A Nine-Stage Initiatory Path of Egyptian Spirituality

By Naomi Ozaniec

Publisher ‏ : ‎ Inner Traditions (May 3, 2022)

Paperback ‏ : ‎ 352 pages

List Price: $24.99 Inner Traditions 9781644113936

FROM THE PUBLISHER:

A step-by-step guide to developing an embodied relationship with Egyptian divinities

• Details the nine stages of the ancient Egyptian initiatory path, describing each stage’s powers as well as the culminating ceremony called “The Crown of Isis”

• Provides profound guided meditations for each of the nine stages and illustrates the manifestation of this path’s principles through stories of awakening

• Shares the author’s personal journey as a Garment of Isis and her own powerful interactions with Isis, which culminated in her serving as Oracle of Isis at the Parliament of World Religions in Chicago in 1993

The Sacred Science of ancient Egypt was an initiatory spiritual system, a technology of consciousness designed to birth a mystical communion with the divinities, an embodied union of being between the eternal and the mortal. After initiation was completed, the re-identified being, now divinely possessed, was known as a Garment of Isis, signifying that the goddess Isis dwelt within them.

Offering a practical guide to the key principles within the Egyptian temple tradition, Naomi Ozaniec explores the process of creating and developing a personal relationship with the Neteru, the divinities and forces of creation of ancient Egypt. She details the nine stages of this initiatory path, which are divided into three phases--heartmind, spiritmind, and soulmind. This step-by-step, interactive process culminates in a ceremony called The Crown of Isis. The author provides profound guided meditations and illustrates the manifestation of the initiate’s powers through stories of awakening brought on by this spiritual path. She also shares her personal journey as a Garment of Isis and her own powerful interactions with Isis.

An accessible yet substantive guide to initiation into the Egyptian Mysteries, this book details how to gradually awaken and attune your mind to the symbolic, open access to higher realms of consciousness, and enter into a mystical marriage between personal and divine consciousness.

Review:

Consistently with each book, Naomi Ozaniec has been called–powerfully cacalled--toemonstrate what it means to be a metaphysician, a priestess, and a living Garment of Isis. If you feel you have been called by She of 10,000 names, this book will assure you of your place in Her retinue. The work of the priestess requires an open heartmind. It is deep, both personal and transpersonal, coconscious-expanding, andntirely necessary for our planet’s transformation. This is a necessary guidebook for our Aquarian age.” ― Rev. Normandi Ellis, D.D., author of Hieroglyphic Words of Power

About the AuAuthor:aomi Ozaniec has worked within the realm of Western esotericism since the 1970s, following a Kundalini awakening experience in 1976.
