FROM THE PUBLISHER:

For centuries, tarot card designers have claimed their tarot decks are based on ancient Egyptian magic. The Kemetic Tarot is based on the most powerful Egyptian magic discovered: The Book of Coming Forth by Day (also called The Book of the Dead). Written over 3,200 years ago, it is a book of spells and magic that allows a soul to invoke the gods and subdue evil adversaries during its travels from the mundane physical world through the spiritual world of the Duat (the afterlife), and finally on to eternal life in Aaru (the Egyptian Paradise).

The rich, vibrant art of The Kemetic Tarot cards infuses the traditional tarot archetypes with the ancient Egyptian magic of The Book of Coming Forth by Day, as it tells the story of the Fool, the scribe Ani, on his journey through the physical and spiritual worlds, in his quest for eternal life.

The Major Arcana cards (the Neteru cards) embody the powerful forces represented by the Kemetic deities and supernatural entities, such as the great goddesses Aset (Isis) and Nebet-Het (Nephthys), and the gods Ausar (Osiris), Set, and Khonsu, among others.

The Minor Arcana (the Remet cards) focus on the Kemetic suits of Ankhs, Scarabs, Scepters, and Swords, which translate directly to the traditional suits of other tarot decks. The Minor Arcana cards are based largely on historical figures including the real-life pharaohs, scribes, and warriors of ancient Egypt.

All the cards are framed with actual hieroglyphic spells from The Book of Coming Forth by Day, and the cards are color-coded by suit for ease of reading. The 164-page guide to The Kemetic Tarot explains Ani's journey through the afterlife, including detailed descriptions of each card and the magic embodied in the detailed, dynamic imagery of the Kemetic Tarot.

Featuring the artwork of Anna Dorzhieva, The Kemetic Tarot comes with an embroidered card-carrying bag featuring an Eye of Heru cartouche, and a companion book by Michael Coles that introduces the Kemetic Tarot system, including detailed descriptions of Kemetic deities, spells, symbols, and notable historical figures.

ORPHIC HYMNS GRIMOIRE & MYSTAI: DANCING OUT THE MYSTERIES OF DIONYSOS

NEW! ORPHIC HYMNS GRIMOIRE and MYSTAI: DANCING OUT THE MYSTERIES OF DIONYSOS ORPHIC HYMNS GRIMOIRE by Sara Leanne Mastros Mastros Publishing Hardcover With Color Illustrations $79.95 Black & White Paperback $39.95 Orpheus, the famed oracle-orator hero of Greece, began to teach a new religion at the dawn of the Archaic Age. Deeply rooted in ancient paganism and mystery traditions, Orphism taught a doctrine of peace-seeking, reincarnation, universal brotherhood, and ecstatic liberation. The followers, like their leader, worshiped their gods with poetry and song. Eighty-eight of these ancient hymns have survived to the present day, and are called The Orphic Hymns. They've been translated into English many times, most familiarly by the Neo-Classicist Thomas Taylor in 1792. Sara Mastros’s stunning new translations render them in modern English in rhymed couplets suitable for both oration and singing. Orphic Hymns Grimoire is a guide ...
