Collected Essays of Humberto
Maggi
Standard Edition of 190 copies bound in
one eighth inch smooth snakeskin and emerald silk with black Ortiz
endpapers.
List Price: $71.95
FROM THE PUBLISHER:
Sixteen erudite full length essays
expanded and illustrated in colour, over 390 pages with numerous
charts and diagrams
The essays in the book form part of a
remarkable personal journey around the world from South America to
Europe and Africa, into the realms of magic, ancient grimoires mixing
with modern practise, the sorcery of Exu jostles against the Goetia,
Faustus finds a bedfellow with Saint Cyprian and Solomon with the
Devil…..
In the authors introduction we find
immediately the struggle between the trained scientific mind and the
magicians yearning for supernatural, daemonic experience, an ecstatic
awakening which is the key feature of Humberto Maggi’s endeavours.
For thirty years he has dug deeply into the textbooks of magic and
into the layers of his own psyche, showing throughout these essays a
profound grasp of both the esoteric literature of magic and the
subtle nature of our relationship to the spirits.
The sixteen lengthy essays in the
book are:
Daemonic Knowledge:
an intimate discussion of the prime
feature of magical experience as described in ancient literature and
the philosophy of magic
The Lesson of Phenex:
conjuration of the Goetic spirit with
proofs of the objective nature of spirits and their effects upon us
The Tree of the Grimoires:
the survival of shamanic iconography
and ecstatic experience echoed in grimoire literature
The Language of the Birds:
on the true nature of magical language,
the subtle communications of spirits being the prime material of
communication and thus facilitating human evolution as shown in the
authors invocations of the Angels in the ARS PAULINA
Crossing Worlds:
dissolving the apparent dichotomy
between Goetic and Theurgic magic, Maggi discusses the facility for
both angelic and demonic discourse within the self and as expressed
in ones personal experiences including the invocations of the Seven
Great Princes
The Solomonic Spirit:
concerning Humberto Maggis personal
invocation of The Holy Guardian Angel, the parallels with other forms
of magical practise and the assertion of scientific method to the
communion of spirits
The Lord of the Good Tree:
Babylonian and Sumerian legends are
woven together with those of the biblical Satan and the gnostic
allegory of the shadow cave, a dissertation on the nature of magical
perception
The Gnosis of the Devil:
The past and future practise of
Quimbanda with some personal observations and encounters with EXU,
the spirit chiefs of the GrimoiriumVerum aligned with the hierarchy
of the Exus
The White Snake:
On the nature of the wisdom tree and
its powerful energetic revealer deity the Serpentine God of Magic and
the deities of Vision and Rainbow
The Great War of Magic:
The impact of the Renaissance of
occultism and the return of Hermes Trismegistus in the early modern
period redefining the nature of the Magus and the creation of our
esoteric utopia
The Saint, the Magus, and the Devil:
The inheritance of the conjurers craft,
shamanism and the Knowledge and Conversation of Spirits, the torments
of St.Anthony and the lessons learnt from explorations into the world
of the demons
Ars Moriendi:
The arts of necromancy, magical
eschatology and the ArsMoriendiMagicae, survival of the consciousness
after death

Being an archaeology of late antiquity
magical techniques obscurely found in in Christian legends; Simon
Magus, Mephistopheles and Faustus, the Sanctum Regnumof the Dragon
Rouge and the ‘paredros’ of the Papyri GraecaeMagicae with a
disquisition on conjuring the magical assistant
The New World of Saint Cyprian:
Contact with the grimoire of Cyprian in
Brasil and Angola, a discussion of the transformation of Cyprian the
Mage and his influence on sorcery

PAEAN TO HECATE
by Shani Oates
Standard Edition of 77 copies in
vintage vellum and green cloth with marbled endpapers
List Price: $56.50
‘O Magnificent dark Mother of all,
Come thou from the midst of Celestial
Glory
Thou whose form hides life within…
O thou re-birther of souls,
Life and Death are thy twin gifts.
Brilliant is thy primordial realm.
Time has no place in thee!’
Written as both an invocation and
divine theurgic discourse this elegant and visceral volume is both a
delight to the eye and a guide to the awakening soul.
Both famed and feared in antiquity,
Hecate remains the goddess of deep witchcraft, occupying liminal
spaces between the living and the dead, between worlds, between will
and act.
Drawing upon her experience of Hecate
in both ritual worship and personal gnosis, Shani Oates delivers here
a holy book of theurgic craft, structured on the five points of the
pentagram and informed as much by transcendental magic as by personal
sacrifice, this is an oracular text prefaced by insights deeply
rooted in the cabala of the western mystery tradition, in witchcraft
and in reverence of the ever present mystery of Her Being.
Scholars of ancient magic, the Chaldean
Oracles in particular, will see in this work a living example of that
power of utterance long thought dead.
Shani Oates is a poet, writer, mystic
and hermit living in the United Kingdom, as Maid of the Clan of Tubal
Cain she both speaks for and inspires a remarkable strain of
Traditional Witchcraft which under her guidance, has spread across
the world. Author of numerous books on witchcraft, essays and poems
she has contributed to the literature of philosophy and the esoteric
to a remarkable degree both in volume and originality.

The Esoteric Secrets of Occult
Symbolism~
Completed after nearly 30 years of
astral journeys on the Tree of Life and occult experimentation guided with
the symbolism of Aleister Crowleys magickal system enshrined in the ‘Book
of Thoth Tarot’.
Aleister Crowley as
‘Ankh-af-na-Khonsu in 1910
"...Concerning thy Travellings in
thy Body of Light or Astral journeys and Visions so-called do thou
lay this Wisdom to thy Heart O my Son that in this Practice whether
Things Seen and Heard be Truth and Reality or whether they be
Phantoms in the Mind abideth this Supreme Magical Value namely:
Whereas the Direction of such Journeys is consciously willed and
determined by Reason and also unconsciously willed by the true Self
since without It no Invocation were possible we have here a
Cooperation of Alliance between the Inner and the Outer Self and thus
an Accomplishment at least partial of the Great Work..." -
Aleister Crowley 'The Book of Wisdom or Folly'.
‘The Sword & the Serpent’
follows the progress of the magician (in the person of
Ankh-af-na-Khonsu) as he ascends through the astral planes that
correspond to the Trumps of the Tarot and communicates with the
spiritual beings, the bizarre, beautiful and sometimes horrific
entities that exist upon the paths, to reveal the hidden natures of
powerful occult symbols.
Crossing these Paths of the Serpent is
a spiritual pilgrimage for the new age taking the traveller not to a
place in the world but to a place in himself where the mystery of his
being is revealed piecemeal in the procession of the Passion of the
Aeon of Horus.
The Tarot Trumps are central symbols in
the Hermetic system of ceremonial magick and the symbols that they
employ tie together a wide variety of spiritual schools into one
cohesive scheme. The twenty-two Tarot Atus represent universal
principals of human consciousness but even these seminal occult
symbols are only a façade for the spiritual perception which they
symbolize. The visions of these paths are the personal experience of
those spiritual perceptions in increasingly finer and more essential
steps.
In the Golden Dawn system of magick
each of the twenty-two Tarot Trumps also corresponds to one of the
paths representing the essential spiritual energy that is expressed
by the individual paths. The nature of these paths is determined by
the numbers which they connect in the intricate pattern of the tree
of Life giving each path an individual yet connected interpretation
and taken together they represent a holistic image of self awareness.
The Golden Dawn (and later Crowley's A. A.) presented the path of
initiation as the incremental progress from the bottom number on the
Tree of Life to the completion of the Great Work in the Unity of the
Crown. This made the importance of the paths in the process of
initiation patently obvious and the Golden Dawn Novice level
initiations concentrated on making symbolic crossings of these paths
to invoke the level of self awareness that they represent.
The journeys collectively represent the
entire path of initiation into the mysteries of Hermetic Magick and
the secrets of the Sepher Yetzirah (the ancient ‘Book of
Formation’) perhaps the most important and influential text of
early kabbalah.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
The late David Mattichak
author of ‘PYRAMIDOS: Self
Initiation in the Aeon of Horus’
(Published by Hell Fire Club Books)
David Mattichak was born in 1963 in
Syracuse New York and passed away on the 26th January 2015 after a
courageous battle with cancer. David immigrated to Melbourne
Australia with his family in 1972. He was educated Melbourne's
Essendon Grammar School before studying art at Preston College.
David had been a student of the occult
arts since the early 1980s and became well known in Australian
magickal circles and, in recent years, around the world due to a
string of essays on a variety of occult subjects . He discovered a
"key to the order & value of the English alphabet" from
Aleister Crowley's Book of the Law in 1983 and has since used this
English Qabalah to unlock the secrets of Thelemite magick, and until
recently he has been passing on his knowledge to private students,
many of whom have gone on to become notable occultists in their own
right.
After almost three decades of study and
development David Mattichak was able to distil his knowledge of
magick and Thelema into a manuscript, his own ’Comment on the
Verses of the Book of the Law’, the first in a planned series of
books on Hermeticism and Thelemite magick, revealing, for the first
time in over a century, the secrets of magick that have been hidden
in Crowley's magnum opus, the Book of the Law.
David is perhaps best known for his
remarkable ‘PYRAMIDOS: Self Initiation in the Aeon of Horus’, a
detailed and original work of over 400 pages on the origins and
development of Aleister Crowleys ‘Liber 671 vel Pyramidos’, the
main ritual weapon in the armoury of any true magician.
David was an exceptionally kind and
gifted man, artistically and musically inclined he also excelled as a
sportsman, a chef and married a career as a writer with his magickal
and mystical studies.
During the publication of his major
work ‘Pyramidos: Self Initiation in the Aeon of Horus’ he was
suffering an aggressive cancer but still managed to find the time
both to teach his own students and to finish editing his book.
Shortly after we delivered the first finely bound copy of ‘Pyramidos’
to David, he succumbed to his illness and on the 26th January 2015 he
quietly passed away.

GENESIS OF THE BOOK OF THE LAW: The Complete Texts
by David Allen Hulse
Standard Edition of 222 copies bound in
quarter tan kidskin with Egyptian papyrus, light ochre hemp embossed
endpapers.
New edition, single volume of 170 pages
List Price: $54.00
FROM THE PUBLISHER:
The Complete Texts
Part One: The Cairo Working (1875-1904)
Part Two: The Birth of the A∴A∴ and
the O.T.O. Legacy (1905-1917)
Part Three: The Coming of the Magickal
Childe (1918-1962)
GENESIS OF THE BOOK OF THE LAW is an
intricate study of the magickal events in the life of Aleister
Crowley specifically leading up to the reception of The Book of the
Law and its aftermath over decades.
We have presented the work in a square
format with wide margins, it is our hope that earnest students will
take the opportunity to make their own notes in their books in order
to analyse the countless numerical and qabalistic ciphers which
appear both in Crowleys life and in their own magickal work.
The work is presented as a timeline
which concentrates in a scientific manner upon the temporal events,
mystical and psychic transformations and qabalistic ciphers that
indicated clear magickal or multi-dimensional activity in the life of
the Great Beast 666 and beyond.
Examining Crowley in this disciplined
and almost mathematical manner allows the reader to perceive in a
remarkable fashion the precise intersections of different realities
or planes in the life of Aleister Crowley and the manner in which his
personal work (and the work of his orders of A∴A∴ and O.T.O.
fixed such spiritual energy upon the material plane.
This study is a step above and beyond
the merely intellectual, past the ordinary mindset of the
biographical narrative and into the very magickal reality active in
the life of Crowley and beyond into the foundations of modern
occulture.
Unicursal Hexagram of the Beast:
the
six dimensions of Space emanating
from the No-Reality of the Point
Like many great philosophers Hulse
realises the omniscient power of number and the presence of the laws
of physics in the peculiarities of human behaviour and the
manifestations of our occult personalities.
Looking behind the mesh of matter and
the constructs both of the conscious mind of Crowley, and even the
‘magickal mind’ of the Great Beast 666 (by which Crowley both
fixed into reality and interpreted his own great initiation as
Ipsissimus, the highest of all the ten occult Grades on the Tree of
Life) David Allen Hulse seeks to reach and interpret the very essence
of the Aeon of Thelema as it appeared secretly manifested in number
in the life of one man, then exploding like a lightning seed upon his
consciousness, until finally and steadily blooming like a vast
universal lotus.
We have presented the work in a square
format with wide margins, it is our hope that earnest students will
take the opportunity to make their own notes in their books in order
to analyse the countless numerical and qabalistic ciphers which
appear both in Crowleys life and in their own magickal work. The
manifestation of the Law of Thelema is a perpetual and symphonic
utterance of the Will of the One through the True Will of the many,
each person who engages in an active way will feel the immediate
effects.
The Law of Thelema resounding
through the Universe
As it is necessary to maintain and
analyse a clear magickal record to see a temporal progression, it is
also necessary to view that record as an organic ‘fourth
dimensional’ reality where the future both influences and
determines the past, where all points are equal and where all numbers
are infinite.
The life of Aleister Crowley, the
organic life of the Current of Thelema, is one from which we cannot
distinguish ourselves, it is Number, Harmony and Truth, now and
forever.
David Allen Hulse is also the author of
‘New Dimensions for the Cube of Space’ an advanced analysis of
the multi-dimensional magickal universe of the Tarot and the Tree of
Life
& ‘The Key of it All’ a vast
two volume synthesis of Eastern and Western magickal systems &‘The
Truth about Numerology’.
