A DEED WITHOUT
A NAME:
Unearthing the
Legacy of Traditional Witchcraft
By Lee Morgan
Paperback: 179 pages
Publisher: Moon Books; Reprint edition (January 16,
2013)
List Price: $19.95
FROM THE PUBLISHER:
The field of witchcraft studies is continually
over-turning new information and research about traditional witchcraft
practices and their meanings. A Deed Without a Name seeks to weave together
some of this cutting-edge research with insider information and practical
know-how. Utilising her own decades of experience in witchcraft and
core-shamanism Lee Morgan pulls together information from trial records,
folklore and modern testimonials to deepen our understanding of the ecstatic
and visionary substrata of Traditional Witchcraft. Those who identify
themselves as 'Traditional' tend to read a lot of scholarly texts on the
subject and yet still there remains a vast gulf between this information and
knowledgeably applying it in practice; this book aims to close that gap.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Lee Morgan is a British ex-pat currently living at
the bottom of the world in Van Diemen’s Land, with a partner and two sons.
Lee’s writing has been published internationally in the fields of short
fiction, poetry and non-fiction. After many years in the occult and pagan scene
Lee has now served in a magisterial role for over a decade, and in the Hethite
Thread of Witchcraft in the broader, international scene. More recently Lee
studied core shamanism to an advanced level with Michael Harner’s ‘Foundation
for Shamanic Studies’.

NU TANTRAS OF
THE UTTARAKAULAS
By John Power
100pp, 10 Colour plates
Binding: Paperback
Phoenix Publications Chelmsford 2011
List Price: $22.00
FROM THE PUBLISHER:
“The book by
John Power is one of the first attempts I have seen to write a critical
analysis of some of Mahendranath’s writings. John was entrusted with the
Uttarakaula tantric aspect of our world and he has obviously nurtured and
worked with his specialty for as he says 21 years (and more now.) At the end of
his analytical work he includes original, very creative and fascinating rituals
that are the summation of his experience. It is quirky and personal and that
adds greatly to its value. I have often gotten swamped by Mahendranath’s large
output of written words. To see a few of his major tantras re-worded,
discussed, analysed and emotionally digested is so helpful. I recommend that
those who are interested in the works of Mahendranath give this work more than
a quick cursory glance.” -Lalita Devi, Canadian Initiate and Tantrik Yogini.
“Power begins
with an intro that traces his own relationship with Tantra, before clearly
laying out the perspectives he is viewing the tradition from and giving a
biographical note about Shri Dadaji Gurudev Mahendranath. He then proceeds to
summarise Dadaji’s initiation and writing, then includes some of his own
original rituals and images. This book is beautiful. So what validity does my
opinion have especially in the light of my own rather self damning opening
statement (to compound this outrage I neither understand Sanskrit nor am an
initiated Tantrika)? However I have been a practicing magician for a long time,
have lived in both the occidental and oriental environs, and have the insight
into art, magick and humanity that comes from age and experience. I believe
John Power has written a book that is of great value. It is about love and
freedom; fun, liberation and compassion; and ways to work for and with this in
a creative and progressive way. ‘The Nu Tantras of the Uttarakaulas’ is about
magick from the heart and the inner self; the greatest and most transformative
magick there is.” (Charlotte Rodgers, whose The
Bloody Sacrifice is published by Mandrake)

UNCOMMONSENSE TAROT
Tarot readings by Erica (Raven) Branch-Butler
"I've been reading Tarot for more than thirty
years, and reading professionally
at the Edge for a decade. My belief is that Tarot is
best used for
putting you in touch with your own subconscious,
allowing you to make healthy
decisions that can change your life for the better.
My readings tend to be
rather commonsensical. They are often geared toward
helping the client
deal with the often self-imposed obstacles in their
lives in a healthy,
self –affirming way, so that they can achieve their
goals and fully
enjoy the fruits that life has to bring."
Please inquire about Tarot Parties, classes and
other events.
Available every day except THURSDAYS-- 12:30-8.30PM.
Sundays 12:30-8:30 PM
